I have a hard time coming up with "titles" for my blog posts. I also have difficulty coming up with "subhead titles" within articles. I thought I had my requested article all finished to send to an editor, but then Richard didn't like some of the subheads (yeah ... blame it on him--lol), and so I made last minute major changes. Thanks, Richard! :) Only seven more weeks to hear something back from the editor (takes 8 wks or longer for a response). Whatever happens, I'm just glad I received a positive response to the query letter! Yay! :) :)

We enjoyed our first Tapestry of Grace Unit Celebration last weekend! :) :) Every nine weeks (or unit), the Tapestry co-op throws a "party" to help bring history alive. These first nine weeks, we studied Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Sumeria, and the Law given to the Israelites through Moses. We also learned more about the Tabernacle in the wilderness, along with why and how the Passover and other Holy days were celebrated. As you can see in the following photos, the kids loved dressing up and attending our first Passover Seder meal. What a fun experience! :) We found the lamb very tasty, the parsley & salt water bitter, and the horseradish with unleavened bread terribly BITTER!!! The best part was eating the Charoset (a sweet mixture of apples, dates & nuts that each family prepared ahead of time to bring to the celebration). We were reminded that life is both bitter and sweet, full of sadness and joy.

Taking the kids to a Messianic Jewish service the very next day was a wonderful finale for all we had studied. What a lovely end to an enlightening unit of study. :) :) :)

Our studies are now full of India, including the geography and how they still live like they did thousands of years ago. We're finding the Buddha storybook and The Story of Little Babaji quite interesting. :) Next week, we'll visit China's way of living. :) :)

I'm not feeling the best (stiff neck--possible sinus silliness?), and this week has not slown down ... so I'd better get off this computer! Have a wonderful week!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) :) :)
